FEATURES:
- It is mostly used as post emergent herbicide.
- Gives long duration of control.
- Readily absorbed by foliage; root absorption also occurs but is slower; translocated via both the xylem and phloem.
- Inhibits acetolactate synthase (als), also called acetohydroxyacid synthase (ahas), a key enzyme in the biosynthesis of the branched-chain amino acids isoleucine, lecucine, and valine.
